For many, Il Borro’s Relais & Châteaux property — an amazing, centuries-old hamlet surrounded by 2,700 acres of organic land, situated in the Valdarno, between Florence and Arezzo — is the definitive exemplar of Italian culture, winemaking, and hospitality. For The Clear Creek Group’s Founding Principal, Morgan Bruemmer, Il Borro’s commitment to sustainability in winemaking, farming, and hospitality is both admirable and trendsetting.

The Borgo from Above

Prior to relocating to Jackson, Morgan spent many years in the Atlanta wine industry, where his love for great wine and food burgeoned. Once settled in Jackson, he represented a friend’s wines from Chianti and Bolgheri, and a few years later, following a fortuitous introduction to Salvatore Ferragamo, Morgan forged a lasting relationship with him and the winery, eventually bringing Il Borro wines to Wyoming…and to The Clear Creek Group’s many clients, friends, and families.

Today, the property—once held by the Medici—the dynastic family of the Italian Renaissance, is managed by Salvatore, the grandson and namesake of Italian fashion legend, Salvatore Ferragamo. His innovative approach to sustainable winemaking has garnered acclaim throughout the industry, and the result shows in the quality and craftsmanship of his organic wines. Il Borro’s one-of-a-kind vineyard produces about 12,000 cases a year from 45 hectares of organically grown vines.

While taking respite amidst the many machinations that adorn Il Borro’s historic borgo may represent a rare indulgence — you can book a stay at Il Borro by inquiring with one of The Clear Creak Group’s reservations specialists —  Morgan and The Clear Creek group remain committed to introducing Il Borro wines and Salvatore to a broader audience in Jackson Hole.

On June 30th, The Clear Creek Group invites its guests and Jackson Hole community members to a meet and greet with Salvatore on the Village Commons, as you enjoy his sparkling rosé, his still rosé, and hors d’oeuvres. Afterwards, you will move into Il Villagio Osteria’s private dining room, where you will experience a four-course, wine-paired dinner featuring a full complement of Il Borro’s magnificently crafted, Italian wines.

The event is limited to just 40 guests. Tickets are $145 and may be purchased through The Clear Creek Group.
